This is a HANDS-ON class to use Adobe programs to make your own quilt patterns and fabric designs. Sources for online printing will be shared. This class sprung from working with my mother, Carol Byington Johnson, a longtime Utah Quilt Guild member and amazing landscape quilter. We will take time to walk you through making a pattern from your own photo, repeating a pattern, color preview, and designing your own fabric from simple things all around you. Eager quilt designers, artists or computer geeks will love this class. We will teach you basic skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and some free apps for your phone and share online fabric printing sites. Think..restoring old quilts with fabric recreations, making fabric from your child’s artwork, recreating a scene for a landscape quilt, previewing color selections for a new quilt, value studies for collage quilts, making your own fabric pattern, even creating the custom fabric you have been searching for. You can create amazing things!!!
